Netflix Subscription Plans

There are 3 subscription plans available on Netflix.

1. Netflix Basic Plan

The Netflix Basic plan costs £6.99 or $9.99 per month. If you prefer to pay per year, the amount to pay is £83.88 or $119.88.

On Netflix Basic, you will still gain access to all the movies and TV shows available on other plans.

However, your maximum resolution is limited to what this plan allows. There’s also a restriction on the number of streams you can perform simultaneously on different devices.

Netflix Basic only allows users to stream in the standard definition (SD), which is 480p. Although it may look good on mobile phones that have small screens, how about 18-inch laptops with large screen resolutions?

Also, you can use Netflix Basic plan only on a single device at the same time.

2. Netflix Standard Plan

The Netflix Standard plan costs £10.99 or $15.49 per month. If you prefer to pay per year, the amount to pay is £131.88 or $185.88.

The Netflix Standard plan is the most popular on the platform. It allows users to stream in High Definition (HD). HD resolution is up to 1080p, which is the most common on most devices.

This resolution step-up increases the video quality when compared to the Netflix Basic plan. Also, you can log in to your Netflix account on 2 different devices and stream at the same time.

3. Netflix Premium Plan

The Netflix Premium plan costs £15.99 or $19.99 per month. If you prefer to pay per year, the amount to pay is £191.88 or $239.88.

The Netflix premium plan is best for users that share their accounts with multiple people, or stream on multiple devices.

Netflix Premium allows users to log in to their Netflix account on 4 different devices and stream from all at the same time.

Also, Netflix premium allows users to stream videos in the Ultra High Definition (UHD), also known as 4K streaming. However, note that not all movies and TV shows are available in the 4k format.

You should also note that a very fast broadband connection is needed to stream in 4k unless you will be comfortable with buffering issues.
